From Banner to Banners
It takes one to know one, and we sure know Banner. Er … banners?
Our 20-year partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks is a friendship we’re incredibly proud of, so when the club wanted to tell the story of its modern dynasty run, we laced up our skates and made the assist.
Though Banner and the Blackhawks are West Loop neighbors, the team’s Centennial documentary “The Banner Years” took more than a trip down Madison Avenue to execute. In fact, the story’s exploration and development happened over (a quick) six months in 2025. We traveled to three countries, conducted 12 hours of interviews, had contributions from 19 producers, shooters, editors and animators, and logged more than 550 project hours, all to pack a 40-minute punch telling a tale of the seven players who helped secure the city’s three Stanley Cups in 2010, 2013 and 2015.
Like a frenzied shift on the ice, it was an exhausting blur, but one that was totally rewarding with an in-depth, highly entertaining and, of course, banner story to share.
